Dear fellow members,
I am going home on 29th June and will fly to USA in Aug. Last night is my last time in CHIC and also my last time to see you guys. Being a CHICer for nearly 7 months, I do treat it as my home in Beijing and in this family, I have many big brothers and sisters. Every time I enter the meeting room, I felt another Ashley, totally different from the one in school,was born because of your encouragement.
What impressd me most is that in this club, everyone wants to help others as well as the club. Whenever CHIC needs you guys, I can always hear some voices to say" Maybe I can do it." or "I think I can help." These are the simplest words but mean a lot to me. I think no matter on campus or in working places, it's hard to find someone to help you sincerely. But in toastmaster, in CHIC, just the opposite. It's difficult to pick out someone who is not helpful.
As a charter member of CHIC, I wish one day in the future, even when I am in USA, someone will tell me"Do you know a toastmaster club called CHIC? They are fantastic." Every time the room is packed. And let me use my imagination, maybe we have Bring Children To the Meeting Day. When I enter the room and want to make you guys a big surprise, you guys surprise me in return. Connie,Jeff, Lisa,Laura,Ludivine and Yucheng, Jessie and Lawrence will bring their children to the meeting and a lot amount of little kids come towards me and call me " auntie Ashley". And hubert will bring his grandson, hehe. And we have so many pairs in CHIC. Every one will use this as a joke but not Caesar any more.......
At last, I want to say, Thank YOU. It's you make me happy. It's you make me warm. No matter where I am, I am CHICer forever and I hope I can be your "the Ashley" in your heart. Our friendship blossoms and so does CHIC.
