Remembering SH Conference 2010: lots of rehearsal

Last year, 2010, CHIC Toastmasters Club took charge of organizing the Fall Conference in Beijing, which took place end of October.  It was a half-year long project. We started brainstorming in March, and in May, when there was a Spring Conference in Shanghai, we decided to do a promotional show during the gala dinner.  There were the six of us.  We came up with a skit to show that the Fall Conference would be full of humor and creativity, and be very different.  The skit would be full of music, jokes, and making fun of ourselves.  And we wanted it to be outstanding.  Unfortunately, we only came up with the idea a week before the conference.  And haven't practiced at all.  We knew that the days leading up to Saturday night would be alot of work.  We arrived in SH on Friday morning, went to the World Fair, and came back for dinner, and started rehearsing at 8pm.  We didn't sleep until 2am.  The next day we continued our rehearsal whenever we could, between the sessions, during lunch, before dinner....Until we finally got on stage.  That's when we realized that nobody was paying attention to the stage, and they're all networking with one another running around from table to table.  We performed anyways, had a great time, and it wouldn't have been possible if we didn't bond tightly during the late night rehearsals.  Thanks to Lisa, Jeff, Ashley, Connie, Jen for one of the best memories.  Here is the video of our rehearsals...Enjoy
