Bite Size Knowledge

The basic in 2-Step Humor is, 1) to state some commonly accepted problem, frequently with a cliche, and 2) in the last word or two, change the expected ending to a surprise.   example:  People lose sleep over the stock market are lucky.  I lose money!

Meeting Promotion Dec29, 2010
Dear friends
The last meeting of 2009 is a day of celebration and reflection.  That is the theme.  We will gather to talk about how much we have achieved and learned, and grown.  We will cheer on one another, and charge on for the next term.  We will have fun together, bond, connect, and reconnect.   I hope to see the members whom I have missed for a while.  It’s been such a memorable journey with you so far.  If you have friends or colleagues whom you think will benefit from CHIC, bring them to our celebration.  If you are a guest, and want to find out what is CHIC, and what Toastmaster is all about, come and have fun with us.
The agenda will be simple.  If any members want some stage time, there is 20 mins of open floor for you to share your thoughts.  Future officers, esp. Jen, Ivy and Charlie, prepare some thoughts to share, and there will be a Q&A session from the audience.  I'm sure the Table Topics session and the games by Lisa will be a blast!
7-7:10  Opening Toastmaster Hubert (my final words as President)
7:10-7:15: Greeting the guests
7:15-7:35 Open floor: members share their memories, lessons and achievements
7:35:8:00 Table Topics
8-8:15  Break
8:15 - 8:30  Fun and Games, by Lisa
8:30 – 8:40: Installation of new officers (by Hubert)
8:40 – 8:55: Words by Incoming Excom, followed by Q&A,
8:55-9pm.  Sing the CHIC song (All)
9pm: Adjourn the meeting.  Happy 2011.
See you on Wednesday.  FYI...I'll be arriving to the meeting from the airport, so I won't be able to bring my famous mouth-watering brownies.  If anyone can bring some home-made dessert to warm up the atmosphere, it will be greatly appreciated.
Hubert
