President's meeting reflection_March 9

Dear CHICers,

Thanks to our experienced toastmaster Connie, we had a high quality and fun meeting tonight. Jon is taking a greeter role and welcomed our guests warmly. Lynn's story about smile really influenced me as I am still showing my 8 shining teeth while I am writing the sentence. :) Gale's contest speech is still informative and a good test on our mandarin. Try and slow down a bit, and I am sure you will impress the judges on Saturday.

Tonight, Stella's speech titled "Take Care" captured my heart. I've always known how wonderful Stella's writing skill is (you can tell from her humorous and witty meeting minutes), today I am truly touched by the emotion she puts into the speech. It's not the delivery or the beautiful sentence that matters, it's what she said in the most sincere way that makes her speech memorable. At first, the old saying "all good things come to an end" was ringing in my head when I know Stella is going back to Shanghai after spending such a unforgettable time with us in CHIC. And then the optimistic side of me wakes up and said: "hey, the best is yet to come. No matter for Stella or for all of us." Blame me for being a hopeless optimist, but I believe that tomorrow will always be better, sometimes it's just wrapped up perfectly in a way that you couldn't recognize at the first sight.

At last, best wishes to Stella and say hello to her amazing life in Shanghai! A big big smile :)

Jennifer
