The first step in humor conception is imagination.  It's called "What if?":  The two most important words in creativity and the only stimulant a humor writer needs to get started. - Melvin Helitzer, from Comedy Writing Secrets

President's Meeting Reflections April 20

Though I am quite inactive on weibo, I still want to pretend that I commented like this: "@Hubert, I agree, Alpha really did a wonderful job tonight!"

There are several highlights in today's meeting:

Jon and Joyce both brought interesting stories into opening and humor session. New members Patricia and Cecilia effectively helped us improve as ah-counter and timer. After the meeting, I realized that our two prepared speakers have a lot in common--male, IT related jobs, both talked about individuality.

Andrew emphasized that everybody is an island and we need to face our own life marathon. Phil shared his traveling tips with the benefit when he was single, leaving a positive for traveling alone in the end of his speech.

Jessie's evaluation to Andrew was full of encouragement. She used some "live coaching" that makes the evaluation more valuable. Hubert was as good and professional as always, giving constructive feedback and identifying the shining points. Probably he is still talking to Phil over MSN on his speech.

Last but the the least, a big hug to Ludivine and Yucheng to welcome them back to the family! Stay tuned, and more laughter is guaranteed.

-Jennifer

Also, congrats to the winners of our weekly awards: Charlie - Most Humorus, Jon - Best Table Topics Speaker, Hubert - Best Evaluator and Phil - Best Prepared Speaker.
