Written by Coco Creativity never ends. December 28 meeting of CHIC Toastmasters was abundant with crazy weird ideas. A lot of little creative things produced by our members: First, the opening of Hubert, video, light off, black, quiet, like we were in a movie theatre, after that, shaking hands, hugging, high ten, very good exercise to warm up the atmosphere. Then, the agenda, CHIC vision, mission and the ad for our coming birthday party, thank you, Dancy and Gale. When the meeting finally started, it’s Rita’s music for signaling that time is up, then, Vivian’s game for the table topic session and the very creative gift, sunflower pillow from 失恋三十三天, and Joyce, the GE, acting like a director, with red hat and sunglasses to add a lot of fun while taking charge of the whole evaluation team… this list just goes on. Coco finally had her day today. Best prepared speaker, Best humor. Award day for Coco to quickly make the harvest of all previous hard work. Thanks to the audience. But she could have been more confident on the stage if the real love expert, our guest from 世纪佳缘, Melody (not the one in the club), was not in the room. Gale was an ambitious and diligent guy. His problem was not only his, we all want to talk with beautiful girls or handsome boys fluently, that’s a big reason why we came to CHIC. Yet, Gale succeeded in turning all the casual desires and small wishes into really serious business. To be always so devoted and hard working is not simple. Tim has finally been appearing in the meeting regularly. Humor was a piece of cake for him. With his easy character and wonderful language (We love native speakers…), we all were led into reflection on our CHIC journey. Thanks from CHIC to Tim for using the theme “Resolutions” to lead us all think how important CHIC is in our life. Hubert was repeating his role as open-chair, speech coach and president, again today. Same with Cecelia, who was doing Ah-counte, he has always been very modest and selfless to serve others. Now, instead of a president, I almost think he is the cheerleader of our club. Surly also host of every meeting. No wonder guests are growing every meeting. Speaking of guests, they were really very fluent, very energetic; some of them were actually very powerful. Promising future for CHIC. Current members, just work harder.
